1. Shave properly and exfoliate regularly
Do you shave incorrectly? It has the potential to cause ingrown hairs! Most of the time, it's because people don't know how to properly shave.
Typically, the most chronic cause of ingrown hairs is not shaving in the proper direction, which results in bumps. In addition, it causes the hair follicle to regrow into the skin, resulting in ingrown hair.
If you have coarse or curly hair that tends to grow back, shave with the grain to avoid this. Also, shave against your hair if you have fine hair. It may appear strange, but it works!
Exfoliating regularly is also recommended because dead skin cells, dirt, and oil clog your pores. If these substances accumulate in your skin, the hair follicle may become clogged, resulting in ingrown hairs. Exfoliating regularly will keep clogged pores under control.
2. Resist the urge to wax
Waxing your thick, coarse, curly brows is the last thing you want to do. Waxing causes tiny tears in your skin, and hair follicles that grow back in those tears can cause ingrown hairs.
3. Pay attention to which skincare products you use
It is one of the simplest methods for preventing ingrown hairs. Try to establish a skincare routine that will not clog your pores and leave you with clear skin.

It would help regularly wash your face to remove dirt and oils (make sure you get it all). It would help to moisturise frequently so that the hair follicles do not become dry when they regrow. It is excellent if your hair is thick and coarse.
4. Use A Topical Treatment
It's easy to overlook, but numerous topical treatments are available to treat and prevent future ingrown hair problems. Ingrown hair removal creams or sprays are the most common.
Alternatively, you can try a natural remedy such as tea tree oil, which is excellent for dry skin (and ingrown hairs!). But the number one ingredient recommended to combat ingrown hairs is salicylic acid.
If you suffer from ingrown hairs try using products that contain salicylic acid as they will exfoliate the dead skin trapping the ingrown hairs helping to both prevent and treat them.
5. Use Vitamins & Herbs
Specific vitamins and herbs can assist your body in growing hair in the proper manner. For example, vitamin C can help keep it clear if you have sensitive skin, reducing the likelihood of ingrown hairs. Likewise, vitamin B6 promotes healthy follicles and thickens hair (the same applies to zinc). So, if you're prone to ingrown hairs, try the vitamin route.
Ingrown hairs can be embarrassing, but don't let them get you down because they aren't dangerous, and there are numerous organic ways to get rid of them! It simply takes time, effort, and consistency.
